Why hello there. How are you? You look great, by the way. I appreciate you stopping by-- why don't I tell you a little about this here blog, yeah?

First-- the name:

The name is because I have tattoos and I like to run. Imagine that. To be honest, there hasn't been all that much running in the last year or so, but I won't get into that here, because, Spoilers Sweetie*. No, but, really that's what part of the blog is about, so...yeah...

Speaking of what the blog is about, here's what the blog is about:

Running
Parenting
Anxiety
and a little bit of books and fangirling on random pop culturish stuff.

What does any of that do for you? A lot? Well...STICK AROUND AND LET'S BE BFFs. Not a lot? Welp...this is awkward.

Hi. (Again.)

It's been two years, two months and 21 days since I last ran an actual run. Sure, I've had two or three starts and stops here and there, but those were just blips. I'd like to tell you all that I had this great injury and I've been working hard day in and day out getting myself back into running condition, but that's a big fat lie. Week One Down, Eight More to Go

Week One Summary: Miles logged - 5.86 miles Total time - 95.9 minutes Average pace - 16.07 minutes per mile Workout days - Monday, Wednesday, Saturday Week one is in the books and it was...interesting. As a veteran of the Couch to 5K program, I knew what to expect and how to approach each workout. Adding the kids to the mix however, was a whole different ball of wax.  We tried to prep the kids with how many runs to expect, how to pace themselves and how it's mostly a mental game-- that by run 6 or 7, they'd probably be all "MORE RUNNING? WAHHHH." At the same time, we didn't want to put it into their heads that it would be hard-- we just wanted to prepare them and let them know that a lot of distance running is mental. Your body can keep going but your head is like, "UHHH, LISTEN..." All-in-all the kids took everything in stride (no pun intended).
